Wedding Books – 2015
My Wedding Book project is made up of 6 photo books in a case. Most of the photos were taken by Li Ward of Fat Orange Cat Studio – the photographer Juliet and James hired for the wedding. Her beautiful photos provided the primary source and initial motivation for the project. Artisan State is the online publisher I used to create the layflat books, where each landscape-positioned photo spans across 2 open pages.
Closed, the books measure 6 x 8", and when opened the photos, printed on card stock, span 12 x 8". All but the Morning Run have 42 photos. Morning Run has fewer at 25. I was the photographer of this last set, and not nearly as prolific as photographer Li but had enough to represent the event. It was difficult to choose just 42 from the 150+ lovelies she shot in each of the other categories. The case, wrapped in book cloth and decorated papers, measures 10 x 8 1/2 x 7" deep. The paper on the case's inside matched one of the designs of their invitation.
