Magazine Masks – 2006

Old pals Chip and Jeannie introduced us to a fun game on a relaxing afternoon during of one of our Ptown visits to their place.  Take photographs of sliced faces from magazine pages positioned just right, and new portraits are made!  Once Chip sent the images I took it a step further and applied Photoshop's crosshatch filter to each.

The photos are small – about 3 x 5" – and dry mounted on card stock.  The card stack is stored in a ta-da box – my name for this container where sides fall flat once the top is removed.  I presented this as a thank you gift to them on our visit the following year.  I keep meaning to make another set for me. It's a favorite.
